How do I add Lines to my phone? (UL)

Lines are used for making and receiving calls. Different phones support different number of lines. Lines are not used for status of colleagues lines. Those are configured under the keys section.

* New Device

1) Login to pbx.suretel.co with admin credentials (Only the admin can add lines)

2) Under Config on the left, select New Device

3) Click Add Device button in the upper right hand corner

4) Enter data required-

     4a) Mac Addresss can be found on the sticker on the back of your phone (i.e 0088f289e412)

     4b) Device Template: Start typing device model and a selection box will appear (i.e VVX410)

     4c) Line Number: Based on the device selected you will have a number of lines available start with 1

     4d) Extension Type: By default Extension is selected is you change it to custom you will be able to enter line information from another service provider

     4e) Extension: Select the extension you would like to use with this phone

5) Click Create

6) Follow steps for your phone to provision the device

Polycom -

VVX 400 / 410

Grandstream - 

GXP21XX & GXP16XX

8) Click blue Edit button for the phone you would like to edit

9) Under the Add Line section add the necessary inforamtion

 

* Existing Device

1) Login to pbx.suretel.co with admin credentials (Only the admin can add lines)

2) Under Config on the left, select New Device

3) Click blue Edit button for the phone you would like to edit

4) Under the Add Line section add the necessary inforamtion

     4a) Line Number: Based on the device selected you will have a number of lines available start with 1

     4b) Extension Type: By default Extension is selected is you change it to custom you will be able to enter line information from another service provider

     4c) Extension: Select the extension you would like to use with this phone

5) Click Assign
